Seeing Snow White’s gentle grace as she helps a small bird, the Huntsman is unable to kill her and tells her to flee into the forest. But her flight turns to terror as, whipped by the storm and her ever-increasing fear, she finally whirls and falls unconscious to the ground in this color model drawing. The work of Jack Campbell, the image is 7”, rendered in black and red pencil on a 12-field sheet, with Color Model and production stamps. The penciled word “standard” refers to her normal color palette, as opposed to darker or greyed colors used in some scenes. There are staple holes in the upper left corner. Disney, 1937.
