This handsome title opens the short in which Donald is sentenced to washing dishes for refusing to pay his $35 lunch bill. Seems fair, but he didn’t think so. The beautifully designed depiction of what would have been Donald’s new home is rendered in airbrush with the hand lettering on a cel overlay. The set-up is 12-field with its original cover flap. Donald forsook his “normal” voice in this short and spoke as an ordinary human. He was understandable for once, but not for the better. Disney, 1948.
