Attended by Ned Sparks as his sardonic court jester, Hugh Herbert applies his own brand of silliness to the role of Old King Cole as he calls for his bowl in this stand-out set of animation drawings. Famous in their day (or they wouldn't have made it in this classy cartoon) the comedians are portrayed by the inimitable Ward Kimball. Sparks is 5-1/4" and Herbert is 7-5/8", and both are rendered in black and red pencil on 12-field sheets. Disney, 1938.
