After the tremendous success of "The Tortoise and the Hare" the previous year, the two stars come back for a rematch. This time they agree to test their skills in the boxing ring. When Toby ducks into his shell to avoid Max's punches—and who can blame him?—the cocky hare, certain of his victory and irritated at the hold-up, loads up Toby's shell with fireworks. The plan backfires, so to speak, causing Toby to emerge the victor once again. The pair show off their respective styles in this excellent set of vintage drawings.
