The vultures in this film serve much the same role as the crows in Dumbo—both feathered foursomes are cool hipsters who fast-talk among themselves about the plight of the down-hearted hero, and both appear rather disreputable at first, but show themselves to be genuine friends when the chips are down. Of course the crows are pure American while the vultures are British to the bone. This ‘ere is Buzzie, who carries on the "What we gonna do" dialogue with Flaps. He is 8 x 6-1/2" on a 10 x 8" cel, and his master giclée background is as key as they come. Disney, 1967.
