#126 CONCEPT PAINTINGS(2) from A FLINTSTONES CHRISTMAS
$200-400
Flintstones fans better sit down. Pre-production art from Hanna-Barbera is extremely rare, and these are just spectacular. The meeting lodge of the Royal Order of Water Buffalo, its name chiseled over the entrance, is shown in the glow of a full moon in the first painting. The windows are alight, which means the Grand Poobah is likely in attendance. In the second, the words “Fred Xmas" are written graffiti-style on the side of a snow-covered building in downtown Bedrock. These are beautifully painted in gouache on 8 x 10" and 8 1/2 x 6 1/2" boards, as shown. Hanna-Barbera, 1977.
