Surrounded by the bounty of their garden, Mickey and Mickey stake their claim in this exceptional display. Originally intended as store fixtures and created by the same Disneyland shop responsible for the Emporium windows on Main Street over the years, several of these displays featuring different characters were sold at the Disneyana shop for a short while in the early 1980s. Minnie is 9”, looking like a flower herself in her perfect sun-yellow dress and red shoes, and Mickey, always classic, is 10”. The hand-crafted acrylic display case is 18 x 10 x 12”. The custom composition base fittingly features a ribbon and foliage motif and includes a plaque saying simply “Mickey & Minnie 1928.” Disney, early 1980s.
